Ok, This is my second stab at it. I took in mind alot of suggestions from you guys. I only have basic editing tools( microsoft picture it) and dont use any special lights or any special procedures. Working with what I have so far, please keep that in mind.

Look at me I am already making excuses, and yes they need to be sharper, any suggestions

Once again They are pictures of my kids since they are the only ones around

Very nice, Katrina. I like the last one best. My second favorite would be the one with the popsicle. Keep at it.

I too, am still learning but like you said they could be sharper. I like the first one, if the window could be a little darker it would be a very nice shot. And I also like the last one, I think the clothes are fine. I don't know much about the camera you have but does it have the ability to blur backgrounds?

I really like the one with the popsicle. You've caught your daughter's expression wonderfully.

Your idea with your son and the reflection is good. Experimentation is the way to see what works. I think the second one of this idea has a much stronger composition than the first.

The last one (even with the clothes) has a nice feel due to the sepia tone. Compositionwise it could possibly be improved my placing your son in the left of the frame. This would give him space to walk into. However, the pot in the background does add some interest.

Keep shooting.

Well Done Katrina,

The poses are great. The last one is a good candid shot well focussed. I like the window shots, but they are a bit on the soft side. Try to focus on the eyes and this should bring the whole face into focus.

That's enough praise, now for the harsh bit....

Why aren't you out there taking even more photos!!

Keep it up.

I really like the sepia tone one. It has a nostalgic feel to it.
Needs more contrast in the b/w ones. Remember your composition when taking the picture. In one picture the boy is to far to the left and in the other he is to far to the right. Keep them coming.

Cute kids!
