Hi,
Just had a little time to do a few test pics with my new cam (10D)
I use a card reader normally and have aquired some ctg. files in a folder along with my jpegs.
I think they are driver software related but can I get rid of them or do they serve a purpose out of camera?
Thanks,
Paul.
By the way, the lack of noise is phenomenal compared to my fuji!

You can disregard them once you've uploaded your files onto your computer, they just get created when you format your card in the camera, I think it's either the firmare copy, or the file numering utility.

if you use the canon download software ( zoom browser )( which is kind of slow ) it won't download those extra files. what it does do though - is download by shooting date. also if you have an epson printer - and use the card monitor software - it will fire up the zoom browser as soon as it sees the CF card.
