Probably not because it is not wacky. That said, I laughed out loud when I saw this in the nude challenge. I gave it a good score. I thought it was nicely taken as well. I don't really understand why it did so poorly. It wasn't human, but it was nude. :)

Nude? Some would say it was covered.

EDIT: Well dressed even.

It was . . . . without bun. Its kinda like a girl without a shirt but wearing some nice earings. Still Necked! :)

I personally thought it was a great idea, and beyond that, the photo was well done. Kudos to the artist.

lol I don't think we're talking about the same picture ;-) the one you're talking about was cute though.

Fully agree, this is already the second time in this thread that an image is singled out while voting is still going on. And even if the ones starting it could go back and edit it out, their words have already been quoted and those people should go back as well to get completely rid of it.

(I p.m.'ed a person about it but it was already too late).

And no, the images mentioned are not mine, but I would be very angry if it would happen to me.

Correct. It is against site rules to post and/or discuss specific photos in the forums during the voting. Please edit your remarks accordingly so that we don't have to hide them. Thanks.

I am definitely voting first on "wow, what a cool photo" basis, and that includes technical excellence. I will always vote down a photo that is out of focus or poorly composed, no matter what the subject matter. I always go with first instincts, and if the subject grosses me out, I'll be more inclined to vote lower. The more likely I am to hang the photo on my wall, the higher the score.....

Sorry but I did not get any comment yet from anyone, where are those professionals?

Point taken...we should all really do the effort and comment more, especially if we score a pic lower than 5.....

I've had 13 comments so far on my entry. A couple were for the wacky food content which is a shame for those people. But the majority have been helpful and all making the same technical criticism. I can kind of see what they mean and now looking back through all the other shots I took I could have possibly chosen a better one to get a higher vote. But overall I am happy with my score and I am learning something as well.

The comments I left with my entry will reveal my thinking behind what I was trying to achieve, so those of you who are interested you will have to wait until the voting is over.

Thanks to all who commented.

The bun is more like a jacket or shawl. It's wrapped around but never closed and doesn't conceal. Remove it and she's still dressed underneath.

I'm in the same boat as greslizzz - low score and low comments. I do have an advantage over greslizzz in that I have scored some comments, but they've all been positive, but the scores reflect a different side. In this situation, which I know I've been in before and which I know many others have been in, how many of you have requested a critique? Does that normally help in getting a good bit of advice on why a shot isn't performing well?

Just wondering...let me know if you have any input on the critique club thing...

there is plenty of skin showing in that hot dog shot.
consider the toppings, make up.
had it been another type of sausage like link - i would agree it wouldn't be naked.
