Should Wacky Food that natural be lower scored? Then a peanut butter & fish sandwich or ice cream & pickle sundae. How creatative....Why punish nature for it better creativity?Bet they be more uncreatative picture in higher places then natural wacky food. Rock

Exotic fruits, odd combinations, or a brand new culinary creation. Creatively and tastefully photograph some food that you just don't see every day. Keep in mind the international nature of this site.

The above description starts with "exotic" fruits. I think a lot of people did what I did originally and just noticed the word Wacky. But the actual description expands upon that and is really much bigger. A "naturally" unusual food is better in my opinion, but I didn't enter this one.

I agree whole heartedly. How many shots of things that are not foods can you count. I can't remember ever eating a hand, and didn't we get enough hands in touch! . . . whew. In all fairness most of the hands are surrounded by edibles so they technically qualify. Just an observation on my part.

The first sentence is essentially a list of things that would meet the challenge. Anything unusual and edible (real or imagined) should qualify. I gave high scores to both natural and unnatural entries, and I see no reason to give one more weight than the other.

Hmmmm. Has anyone ever heard of a "knuckle sandwich?" That would be whacky.

You haven't been here long but I think you will find that it is in poor taste to talk about about photos in the current challenge that are still being voted on. It is OK to complain that someone may not understand your photo but not to say that they should vote for a particular, specific style of photo vs another that is in the challenge.

Look: some challenges derail because of their interpretation. Food is a universal necessity and because of the many different cultures it is impossible to define "food" Some things that people eat across the globe will surprise many.

When you say wacky or whacky then you add a special twist which can take it into many different realms such as the funny and the plain unpalatable. To me wacky is something that I will not eat. Again, this is my opinion. Also keep in mind that candy companies make candy that resemble warms, etc. This is of course a vicarious experience but you must admit that wacky fits that spirit.
