I really liked this image, but found that it was very noisy. I have learned that my camera has a tendency to be noisy. I use Paint Shop Pro 7 and tried to lessen the noise, but by doing this I created a picture that was a little over saturated. I wonder if anyone could help me understand how to make a picture that has more noise than I want in it, less noisy. I got a comment or two about being over processed. I am guilty of this. Is it better to leave the noise and not over process the image? |

My first impression was that it was over-processed. That's when I say the cat and the edges around it. It would be hard to tell without seeing an unprocessed image. I have no idea how images come out of your camera. |

I think it lacks the wow factor for most people..
Pet's flowers and children are known for not scoring that high on DCP or it must be a realy extraordinary picture....

She's a little cutie..if your camera is lacking, you can maximize it's features only to an extent. Don't be hard on yourself, you never know what you're capable of till you get your hands on what the pros use.
Then if your pics are noisy and out of focus, well, you KNOW you suck ;-)
Just kidding.
Maybe try filling the frame with her more.

Can't help you fix the image unless you post an original to fix. In the future, more light will generally solve your problem. In low light settings, the camera uses a higher ISO value to get a decent exposure, and that's where the noise comes from. |
