I spent all morning working over my system :-( First my cdrom had took a dump few months ago, have old one I was going steal it out of it, but no burner. Then my sound took a crap, and notice my A drive had stop too.
Just can't win sometimes. Thought I might just switch to my other system, its old but has been faithful! Just didn't want to have to reload everything on it. So I tore into it and just prayed. The sound, I had no clue, had small problem with it once before. But it had work for such a long time. Read online till I was sick, Then found out if I would remove it from a over crowded surge protector and put it on seperate one it would help and tada sound. Then to take it apart again and pray it would work when I changed cdrom's out. Its all working except A drive which I will mess with it another day. We rock today tho :-) |

Sounds like you could do some good by looking into a better ps and a UPS to condition the line current before it gets to your system.
