So I am working on an intro screen for a proofs site I am working on. I'm not sure what to think of my current design, any comments/suggestions?

Edit: Okay, obviously I can't spell design :)

I like it... but maybe a little less grunge, ya know? The concept is good and very edgy. But does that match your photographic style? Just some thoughts...

Brian,

I like the image, I think it suits the photography style. A couple of things though - do you need an intro screen? A lot of the time you can get across the same info on the front page of the site without making people do the extra click. You could use this image on the front/intro page instead.

The other thing is that you might want to consider optimising your image a little. I understand that this is a mockup, but it's 80k - I'd try to get it down to 30k if you can.

My 2c, hope I didn't offend :)

I like it as well but I agree with digistoune, the intro should match your photography style. I also agree with mandyp that it's an extra click that is unnecessary.

Thanks for the comments, I was planning on having a field for an event id. This is just the site that I'll use to display proofs. Another example: //www.brianstanback.com/index1.html

I like the second version better.

I also like the second one better especially with there being actual photos in it
