I've been busy deleting old pictures (to make room for the better ones to come) and came across this taken at the same time as my Straight from the Horses mouth pic. I'm getting paranoid about my s*** monitor right now, this looks pretty cool to me and would (as always) welcome any feedback from my peers :)

Well, an hour is a long time in cyberworld and with 37 views and no comments I guess this is like a 5 score in a challenge - no comments?

Consider this a friendly bump, you can't hurt me - honest :)

ithink the crop should be more at the top and less on the bottom, the current crop makes it appear as if he's moving out of the frame.

I agree with Eric. If the bottom of the photo wasn't actually cropped, I'd crop the lefthand side and top as tightly as the bottom. That would also possibly get rid of the white spot in the upper lefthand corner. Otherwise, cool shot!

It's a very nice shot, Andi, but for me just not a real "wow", either. Part of it is the lack of a wide tonal range for me. However, I should also warn you - I am on my horrible dark work monitor right now and my opinion is subject to change!

Thanks for the comments peeps :) Yes there is room to do a better crop and all suggestions have been taken on board, was thinking along the same lines. UK time is 01.21 so I guess there will be no alternative just yet. Oh, and whilst drinking I came up with this, same original just played somewhat in cs :)

I'm not going to make any photo-technical comments. I've looked at the horse instead.

To a horseman, he (if it's a gelding) looks listless and undeveloped. A horse looks good with developed neckmuscles, which, if not generated naturally in the wild, come from working him out regularly, either via longe or under saddle. It is not sufficient to just exercise him. A reasonably thorough knowledge of basic dressage would be a requisite for this purpose.

The horse's lower neck muscle is overly developed, however, which is indicative of resistance. Unfortunately, I cannot tell what it is he is resisting from looking at a partial partial profile and a still image.
