I'm looking for some software that I can use to put together time-lapse photos into an animated gif.

I've tried Adobe ImageReady 7, but I really want some software where I can just specify a list of files (since there could potentially be 50-200 of them).

Any reasonably simple software that could do the job would be great - free would be better too. :)

mpeg_encode to create an mpg from jpgs (not what you asked for)
gifmerge to do what you want.

these are unix tools. go install a gnu/linux (or a *bsd is even better!) distribution or use colinux under windows.

Thanks for the pointer. I see gifmerge is command line based - retro. ;-) Might write a quick VC GUI app around it..

I used a little free program called Unfreez to create this animated gif last year. You basically just load a list the .gif files and tell it how much time you want between frames.

That's cool Spaz. How often did you take the shots?
