My buddy's wife was nice enough to let me take pictures of her at lunch. These are just some of the ones I have gone over. I did this as a learning experience, so please feel free to "teach" me. I know I should have had her take off her watch and rings, but since it was practice and I was nervous I didn't really care. We shot for about 30 mins and I took about 125 pictures. I wish I had taken 500 or so. I am encouraged at some of them, but shocked at how many were slightly out of focus. Is this the norm or do I just need to pay more attention?

Anyway, here are a few...

Please feel free to let me know what you think. Most are unedited.

Great shots Todd,
3, 4 & 10 are my favorites there.

By the way, have you "really" read your post? There are funny inuendos all through it.
Was going to make a comment, but held back.

Note to self: Get your mind out of the gutter.
:)

Have to agree on choice, not the gutter mind tho!

3,4 & 10 are good portrait shots!

Could do with a model like that to work on...sorry...with!

The very last show (10) is a beautiful portrait pose and for my money, that was worth the time you spend and the 100's of shots. Even with the watch, it's a lovely shot and well worth returning to your model as a print for her time.

Outstanding!

These are really nice shots, she seems very natural, which is important in a model. I don't want to hijack your thread, but this made me think about a major problem for photographers (including myself), that being jealousy of a significant other when shooting other models (especially good looking ones). I read an interview with a Playboy photographer who said if you are a photographer, never get married.

number 10 is wonderful, add it to your portfolio. Remember when you're taking pictures to pose tehn in ways that compliment them, and avoid things like wrinkles on her neck on 7. It just takes time.

Sorry for not being too original, but #3 and #10 are absolutely wonderful!!!
At #3, you could add a little bit more lighting to her eyes, but other then that I really love those two.
Not the the others are less good. It's just that they don't give me the same WOW feeling, those two do.

Number 10 is great! What type of editing did you do to the photos after shooting?

wow , your friend is lucky

these are excellent, i would only say that 8 and 9 have awkward pose to me, i think cropping a little of the bottom and the wall on the left would help...just a suggestion

Wow good job! I like ten and four! :) I disagree with three, I don't like that one as much, with the hair behind the ears makes the head look a bit big...! NOTE I just said AS much, they are all very very good, the last one just screams at you :)

What a wonderful model you had!!! Beautiful light eyes that work awesome in pics! You did a gret job in capturing them! She is a gorgeous lady! I need models like that?
