I know this shouldn't be a big deal, but I just can't figure it out, and would really appreciate it if somebody could give me the step-by-step on this.
I want to change the background color on the image from what it is to something slightly greenish.

How's about
Image/Adjustments/Replace Color
click the dropper in the background, click on the color field for replace color and choose your green. increase/decrease fuzziness to your preference
Took less than a minute. (C:
