O.K.
State of panic processing last minute "Touch" photo.
Photoshop CS.
Once I open the RAW image it only seems to want to save it as a PSD file and not JPG!
Must be having a brainfart but I can't seem to get around it.
When I change the file extension to .jpg...windows won't open it.

What am I missing here? Help!

Does save for web automatically convert to 8 bit? Seeems like it does.

Thanks gang.
Save for the web worked. But up until today I never had to do that.
I'd open the RAW file, make adjustments and Save As...it would save it as a jpg.
I doubled check and it was in 8bit so I'm scratching my head.

But thanks...I'm good.

There are two dropdown lists at the bottom of the Camera RAW window. One for selecting the colour space and the other to select either 8 or 16 bits/channel.

You probably had the latter set to 8 bits/channel so when you did a save as jpeg was an option.
