Hi folks,
I must first of all say thanks to everyone who voted me into 8th place with this image in the Smoke challenge
I was unsure whether to enter the one with the musket discharge or this out-take. I have to say during the week my favour changed to the second image, but I would be interested to know which you guys prefer. (please ignore the border)

Definitely YES.
One of the reasons that made this image so appealing is the colour and detail. The second one lacks a bit of both compared to the one you submitted.
edit: was that 2 reasons?

| I like the second one better, but it would need to be brightened up or saturated more, i'm not sure. |

Both are really good !
I agree with kyebosh about giving a touch of brightening in the second one !
I liked your photo during the challenge , it was "refreshing" and very original ! |

first one is a better angle and more dramatic.. you chose the right one
