I believe the technical term for those images will be "buttery smooth". :) 16.7 MP on a full frame sensor - God bless Canon.

16.7 megapixels full-frame, baby!

(Is that Canon I hear knocking on medium-format digital camera back's door? =])

It is very cool to note that the wireless transmitter will work not only on the 1Ds Mark II, but also the 1D Mark II and even the 20D.

Way to go Canon! Looks like another home-run hit out of the park...

P.S. I got a chuckle out of the fact that the 1Ds Mark II will be available in November, which is two months before Nikon starts shipping their 12MP, 1.5X-crop factor D2X in January. My guess is that the 1Ds Mark II will push quite a few pros "over the edge" to make the switch from Nikon to Canon.

Haha, the 1DSMKII will blow the D2X out of the water!

Now... to come up with $8,000 before November...

Yes. But Nikon's camera may actually work :) compared to about 20% of 20D's that have lock up issues.

It is Terje that is having trouble with his 20D.
