Please help! I am trying to download my photos from my Canon Powershot S45 to my mac. My 256 meg card is full (approx 250 photos) from a recent trip to Japan and I am so disappointed because I get an error messge stating "The files could not be imported (they may be unrecognizable file type or the files may not contain valid data)"
If someone has run into this problem, could you please let me know if you were able to solve it? And if so how? Thanks everyone for your time. I really would like to retrieve my photos :)

Are you using a card reader or transferring using the camera?

Well, if the camera is giving you grief a card reader seems like the next logical step. If you don't have one, you might try to go someplace like Wolf Camera. I haven't used them, but I know they will transfer photos from your card to a CD. Seems like they have some locations in the NW.
