It does have a great and soft feel to it...but for me eye, or eyelash focus is critical. The dreamy feel looks nice, and just wait!!! I have shot alot of weddings, and I learn something new everytime. They are all different. Whether its the situation, the lighting, or the time you have? Just be versitile if you enjoy shooting them!

I really like the lighting. I agree that sharper focus on the eyes would help, and also I think having her look back at the camera just a little so that the shot is not quite so perfectly a side profile.
I would like to see more of your shots from the wedding!

Nice, moody shot. Did you add the soft focus later, or was it shot with a diffusion filter? I always shoot in focus, and then add any soft focus later when I can do it in PS and have great control over what I do. Very lovely profile image. Tones are soooooo nice.

Thanks you all...
You're right the eye lashes need to be sharper/darker...
the focus was soft right out of the camera I think...
This was just a quick posed candid at her house before wedding in front of a sunlit window, no reflectors...
Here's a different crop...I got the idea from another guy on zuga (robertwalker) so much good info and helpful people out here...
glad you all like it...the bride and groom love it as do everyone I show it to...but seems to always be room for improvement...

The daughter is gorgeous. A close up of her face would be precious. |

She is adorable isn't she? That is on of the mothers' favorite...
It was very dark in the lodge where the ceremony was held...
and for some reason I took this shot without a flash...
I lightened it up the best I could and this was the best I could do,
I didn't really like it but my wife did...
and when the bride and groom saw it they went crazy...
the groom said he wanted to blow it up and hang it on the wall...
you never know what someone is going to like...
