All look great. Good job. I like 1 and 5 the best.
BTW what lens are you using with your 300D?

They all have great colors and good textures in most of them too. There are a few areas where the dof looks a little shallow, and the exposure is a little off on the rooster, but the composition is good on all of them. I like the vulture out of all of them - good composition, sharpness, isolation from background, depth of field, and colors.

Nice shots! You and that new dRebel are best buddies already!

Curious... what are the specs on that Tamron lens? Did you use a tripod? What were your post-processing steps? And (last ? I promise!) where did you take these photos?

These are very nice. The colors are so rich. I like the darker tones of the shots, too. Try dodging the eye of the elephant to bring out some of the details. Very nice work! I'll look forward to seeing your shots when you've learned how to use your camera!

Really great shots. I like the elephant shot because it's different than the ones you normally see. Most times the elephants are shot full body, so you can see how big they are in relation to their environment.

By getting so close, you change that whole perspective, and also it's interesting to see all of the texture on its skin that you don't see in photos taken at a distance.
Great job!

The Macaw (or is it a parrot) is my favorite. I really like that composition. You've given me an idea to try next time I'm at the zoo. :-)
