The pier and sands at Southport, in the distance some cocklepickers, I chose the panoramic format to get the reflections of the skies in the shot, what do you think please,

I take your point Keith and will give it a try.
The problem with 640 pix images is they don't look half as impressive as the 24x16 image I worked on, ah well,

I hesitate to comment since I am at work with my "dark" monitor, but I think I agree with the comment Falc left you. The colors looked too muted from here.
