I Just wanted to remind people to try out FireFox, the 1.0 Preview version is really, really nice. Adblock, tabbed browsing, and lot of little things like, unobstructive Find dialog box.
Check my signature. :)

And don't forget to add some extensions like "Image Zoom" to scrutinize pics on the web and some of the tabbed browsing ones like "Mini-T" and "Close tab on double click".

I've been using 1.0 since it went out (a couple days ago) both on Windows and Linux and it's going smooth since.

I tried Firefox a few weeks ago. It seemed fine at first but then more and more it seemed like I couldn't view the content of certain web pages. In the end I went back to IE6.

Don't get me wrong I'm not promoting Microsoft but nor am I rubishing it. I just tend to use whatever proves to work best for me.

Firefox 1.0 has added some additional handling for "IE-only websites" that improves its ability to handle those sites.

To me, security outweighs the quite rare usability issues I've run into. I use Firefox almost exclusively, and will only use IE to access a trusted site that does not work under Internet explorer. To date the only sites I have found to be "broken" under Firefox are the US Postal Service (parts of the ZIP code search tool are not accessible) and MSN Maps (in driving directions, the check boxes to access maps for individual steps are missing). These are the only sites for which I have found a need to launch Internet Explorer.

The real solution to this, when you find a site that is broken under Firefox, is to write the webmaster of that site to tell them what specific part of their site is not working for you. Often, the fixes for such problems are quick. In any case, the web was designed to be vendor-independent and standards-based. Sites that do not honor this are, in fact, broken, and will only be fixed when enough users complain about the problem.

Used loads of different types of browser, currently use Opera for most things, but I find quite a few sites won't work so have to resort back to IE again and again.
