I've mentioned it here before, but I would be prepared to pay more for my membership if I had more storage space. I want loads more photos in my portfolio, and most of them are heavily artifacted as it is. Perhaps membership could be tiered by how much storage people want. eg $25 basic, $35 20Mb, etc.
But the reason for this post is to suggest a paid for subdomain. For example, I would like //BobsterLobster.DPChallenge.com
Or //www.DPChallenge.com/BobsterLobster, but a subdomain looks better. I'd pay an extra $10 for this.
How do other people feel? Although most site improvement suggestions pile up on the end of a very long list, this really should be thought about as it is revenue generating.

I think that sounds like a fantastic idea but I have a site and a blog at no cost and I don't have paypal or a chequeing account so getting my membership is starting to become annoying.

Yeah I like the idea as well. Not sure if I would need it in the near future but it make sense to me.

Betterphoto.com offers some opportunities for domain and storage. It is much more costly though. I'm not aware of a storage limit, but you would get up to 1000 photos worth of storage. It is a very different format than DPChallenge. I think selling of prints on DPChallenge is much better format.

Oh wow, I got an email from EddyG...
//BobsterLobster.DPChallenge.com already works!!
I had no idea we already had active subdomains... that's pretty cool!
I think everyone should know this, is this info in the FAQ somewhere? This is a big selling point to me.
As far as storage space goes, I already have my own website, and can put up 250Mb worth of photos, but I want them on DPChallenge as they're so much easier to refer to in forums and so on, and I like keeping my photos in the community and not on another site.
On a bit of a tangent, someone contacted me after seeing my Whitby Pier shot on DPChallenge, and that photo is going to be used in the marketing of upmarket crisps... including being on the crisp packet itself. That's pretty cool, and I have DPChallenge to thank for that, so thanks!
