I decided not to enter a flower this time and I see there are a lot in the top!!! I am happy with my 40th place but wonder if the whole parasol enclosed would have done better?
Any comments?

| I like your original better. The only thing I didn't like about the original shot is the surface the parasol is sitting on. I think it would have been really nice on a glossy black surface. |

Sally,
You made the right choice, the image you entered is warm, inviting and interesting. I love the detail in the pattern on the parasol and on the material beneath.
The alternative, to be totally honest, is just a pic of a parasol without much emotion at all

you definatly made the right choice. The image you chose has feeling, and leaves something to the imagination. It has interesting lighting and a good crop. The second image, is very static and boring... with a very tight rigid crop
