I know of some sites where you can code things so folks can't right clik on an image to copy it on to their computers * illegally use the shots as there own. Seeing as how lots of DPCers have had images stolen from entering challenges here, wouldn't it make sense to do this?
Dunno all the stuff it takes to make this happen but when a shot of mine has shown up on a semi porn site, I feel the need to voice my disgust & hope that admins & SCers are out there listening.
Any thoughts on this function coming to DPC?

this has been discussed many times before. While the coding to prevent the right click to save a picture is easy to do, it CANT stop someone doing a crtl+prnt scrn to get the photo that way. Or just using the file save as function.
If they want your (our) photos they will get them one way or another.

Sure, but if you put out some type of warning about the copyright of the images they are trying to download (and I think most users start with the right click), it could deter some! It is used on //www.betterphoto.com. |
