Okay, I'm in a postion where I need a temporary film camera for two years, one that could take some abuse if neccessary. I want to get a Canon Rebel 35mm and I have narrowed it down to a couple of cameras (lens included, just the basic one that came with it). Okay, the different kinds are a Canon Rebel G, GII, or the 2000. Tell me some of your thoughts. Also, if any of you have any of these models (or ones you feel are similair) for sale, I'd be more than willing to take a look. Thanks!

I use something similar to the Rebel, I believe they accept the same lenses. I use a Canon EOS Elan II. For some reason I think it is a step above a Rebel, but I'm not completely sure. Get some reviews on the camera and see photos that have been produced using the Elan II here: //www.betterphoto.com/reviews/reviewItemDetail.asp?reviewItemID=4

The rebels can be compared here: //www.betterphoto.com/reviews/reviewItemsAll.asp?catID=50&pageID=3&rows=10 Just thought I would share some potentially helpful information.

You are welcome, I hope it is helpful to you! I got my equipment off of Ebay. I got it fairly cheap a few years ago. The seller mispelled Canon and was not getting much traffic that way! :-)

I won a Canon EOS Rebel (with 35-80mm lens, Vivitar Flash, bag and 2 rolls of film) on ebay for $30 doing the same thing! It was mispelled Cannon and the title simply said "35mm Film Camera". And I must say it takes beautiful pictures.
