I think it is too much for voting . It takes a long time to complete a single vote.

I'm not understanding your question. Please explain.

I think what he/she means is, that it takes a long time before the next photo is loaded after voting for 1.

It depends on the speed of your internet connection.
I am on a 8Mb ADSL line, so when I click I see the next photo almost imidiatly. When you are on a modem or other low speed connection, or if the speed somewhere on the internet to the DCP server is slow, then it will take a bit before the 150kb is loaded.

Same here, I don't have 8Mb but do have 3Mb often hitting 5Mb. Not bad for only $39 a mon.

I find it takes a while to do the voting and some nights it seems so slow its really annoying, but, I try when I can to do the voting each night or whenever I have time and hope I can at least vote on the required amount, when it gets to 300 I sigh because that just takes forever. I love to participate but its not always possible

Even with a fast connection, by the time I reach the end of voting, I'm completely annoyed. I can't wait for the last photo to disappear and be done with it. I know people have mentioned sectioned voting in the past. The idea has grown on me.

Greetings,
I know exactly what some folks have been talikng about, I could not imagine voting for all 300+ in one sitting, I try to break it down into manageble (sp?) blocks, say 30 at a time or so, course some times I lose track of where I am an do more than that but it seems to relieve the overload/burnout that can occur trying to do it all at once.

Yeah i find the same thing, doing it all at once would be too much! though i guess it helps to be on the other side of the majority of subscribers :D timezones pretty much take care of overloading of the website for me ;)
aside from that cable helps too

Each vote takes between 2 - 3 mins on my dial up connection and that's without adding a comment. When I comment it takes up to four minutes. I'm luckey to get a 28800 connection most nights. (and you thought your ADSL was slow)
