I am soo exited...i haven't had time to take pics yet but i can allready tell its going to be a great change!!

Congratulations Oliver :) unfortunately I must be the bearer of bad financial news! I hope you didn't spend all your spare cash on the 300D? the cam (and it truly rocks) is only the first stage of dSLR photography, now you need lenses - lots of them, even all of them!

You already have some great pics in your port, be prepared for a learning curve before you start really improving image quality.

thanx for the tips...lol and i did spend all my money exept I got the tamron 70-300mm and i got a Canon EF 35-80mm (from my film camera)...but I think that will do 4 now..i hope

Congratulations, Oliver! Yes, those lenses will do fine for now. Of course "for now" usually only lasts about a month around my house. ;-)

yeah...its allready a HUGE step for me so I think i can handle it LOL...but christmas is coming up.....

Sure does feel good in the hands. IMO it feels even much better with the portrait grip. Mine hasn't been taken off of my camera since I got it last year for Christmas. Without the grip I felt as if I could drop the camera since I have larger hands. Haven't ever felt like that since putting the grip on. I'd recommend visiting your local camera shot and asking to try the grip on. They should let you and you can feel how it feels before buying. It's a great addition IMO to the DR.

thanx guys...it does feel good...i feel that i have more control..with the DX 3700 i was just pointing and shooting LOL
