I've got a couple of questions about how challenges work once you have submitted. I've seen threads where people are checking their scores, how do you do that? When do you get to see what comments people are making on your submission? And is it supposed to be posted any where else on the site? This is my first challenge and the photo is not that great but got to start somewhere hey!!!

for starters, you can go vote on the other entries...

to see comments on your entry, simply click on your entry. if you find the comment helpful, check it.

and no, no one sees your comments but you and the commenter until after the challenge

on your home page (once your logged in) there should be a thumbnail of your submission on the left hand side, with

Votes: ##
Views: ##
Avg Vote: #.###
Comments: #
Favorites: #
Wish Lists: #
Updated: 09/08/04 02:00 pm

this is updated every hour (according to server time), and to view any comments you click on the no. of comments you have or your thumbnail, which takes you to a page with your photo and a list of comments... hope you figure it out. any questions feel free to ask.

Well, it depends if the challenge has gone into the voting stage yet.

If it has you can see your current score, comment status, and favorite status in the lefthand column on the Home page. Since you're a member you will have a little link that says "Update" which you can click and see your current, up-to-the-minute score. Otherwise you can just wait and see the hourly update.

If it hasn't started then you just get to wait until the deadline is and voting begins.

And is what supposed to be posted anywhere else? The photo, the comments, or??

As for the photo it is recommended that you wait until the challenge ends before you say anything about the content, show it to others, or post outtakes of your actual entry. This helps keep the anonimity of the challenge.

For comments it's about the same. Some people will PM the commenter to respond to a comment, but personally I would wait until the challenge ends.

Good luck and enjoy!

When the challenge starts, your entry will be on the front page when you sign in. Below it, will be your score and how many views, votes and comments it has received. (Some of this can be turned off in your preferences.) This is also the area where you will see any administrative notes for your image (need for verification). Also, since you are a member, it will contain the ever popular update button. This button will refresh the stats to give you an up to the minute snapshot of how your photo is doing.
