Is it just me, or does DPC go through strong trends in what wins and what's talk about?

A while ago digital art was in full swing. Then it was burning. Now, it seems as though B&W is all the rage. The forums have been full of b/w conversion talk, and 4 out of the 6 ribbon winners are b/w. Previous to the current winners only 1 pic out of the last 10 challenges was b/w.

I really like b/w, and hope to see some more. That is, if there really is a trend going on.

I totally agree. I was thinking about the bw shots as there are so many on the front page. Also, there was a time that boxed shots were making it in the top three. Now I think rectangles ae coming back

Astute observation!

Edit: maybe we can start a trend here on this thread. How about high key technique?
