Any advice from all of you out in cyber land....

OK.

So I've submitted my foto for "framed" but I think most people might not think it fits the exact wording of the challenge.
Yes, Yes, Yes, I read the thread about "understanding the framing challenge" and I understand "framing", but I just don't want to have my photo lost in 250 other similar shots, so I kinda went outside the box with this one.
Should I just keep it in and see if I'm marked down because voters might not think "the foreground subject frames the rest of the image" (which it does, but some people might not get it)
I've only been a member for a few weeks, so I don't really know how the majority vote.
Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance,
E

If you think people won't get it, then they probably won't, but you could always leave it in just in case :)

I don't mind a photo that streaches the guidlines of the challenge as long as it's clearly in the picture, and not the title.
For example, in the vanishing point challenge:

It didn't follow the challenge details but it does represent a definite vanishing point! I voted it an 8.

I entered my photo on the weekend. I'm not expecting it to do well at all. Infact I think it might blend into 200 someodd other entries. My motivation was some new photo gear that I wanted to play with. I think it̢۪s one of by best yet (technically)...got the shot I wanted...and it fits the challenge...so I'm just hopping for some GOOD comments PLEASE.

I know you have no way of knowing my pic from the others so just comment on them all...that works for me. Thanks LOL

Eric,
Keep it in. There will be some people that don't get it, and some that will rate it lower, but if you like it and think that it is a good picture, you may very well do well in the challenge. As so many folks in these threads say - this is really supposed to be about learning and getting better at photography.

Take the risk.

(Course, you should understand that I haven't submitted a photo yet and probably won't because the one I'd like to submit isn't ready yet.)

I would definitely recommend submitting what you have. for the Hope challenge, I was thinking of sitting down and not submitting anything as I couldn't get time to do what I wanted. ( the model I wanted to work with was busy with some work ). but finally I submitted whatever I could and its doing good so far.
Again for framing, I wanted to take a pic driving down about an hour from my house, but it was too cloudy and foggy :( and I didn't get anything good, but I am still planning to submit something. This sure is going to get my average down ( as I was told ) but whatever ;)
let's have some fun and learn !!

I have to agree just submit and see how it goes especially if you like the shot. My image is way out there and i expect to get a low score but I like it and it meets the challenge.
Don't take the competition to serious just express yourself and you will get much more enjoyment.

If you think it's a good picture, and you think it meets the challenge, go for it!

Yea mine is a little out there also. I was not really going to enter this challenge but I was out shooting the other day and after looking at one of them I thought it would fit. I also don't expect to get a hight score but oh well, it will be interesting to see how it does.
