I can't help you with the photoshop thing...but if you're the guy, you've got a cute girlfriend! And if you're the girl, your boyfriend's kinda cute too. |

what color mode are you working in, and what file type are you saving it as?

I don't know what mode? I didn't change anything I thought. Saving to JPG, but it shouldn't change the color that much! How would I change the color mode if that's what the problem is?

At the top of your Photoshop Screen on the tool bar go to "Image" - click on that so you get a drop down menu. Now go to Mode. In mode you can select RGB - that should help with your color problem.
If the mode is already set on RGB then it's something else causing the problem! |

Another thought - if changing to RGB mode doesn't help, or if you are already set on RGB mode. Go to "Edit" on the Tool Bar - click on it and scroll down to color management; click on that and see what you have selected. I have my elements set on "No Color Management" and when I save photos they look just the same as when I'm working on them. |

picture removed.
the one on the left is if i open in photodelux and save as a PDD and then open in elements. the 2nd is if I drag the JPG into the program... what's happening?!
when I drag it in it says "RGB*" instead of RGB???

Did you check what mode and color management selections you have made in Elements? I explained how in my previous two posts. |

It's on RGB and no management :-/ |

If you open an unedited image in Elements does the color change when you save it or is it only happening if you first open the picture in Photodeluxe and then open in Elements?
If the later is true - then Photodeluxe might not be set on RGB or has some different color system. If this only happens if you first open a picture in Photodeluxe then why not just not use the program and use elements. Are you converting from Raw in Photodeluxe? |

It only does it with images unchanged from the camera, where it says they're RGB* everything else says RGB only.
example, left is in PS, right is the windows image viewer thing.
they're all JPG's in camera.

Has this always happened, or has it just started now?
So, when you open an unedited image in Elements and then work on it and save it - the color changes? I'm asking again as I'm not totally sure which program you were talking about in your last post.
Where does Photodeluxe come in. Sorry to sound dense but I'm not totally sure where things are going wrong.
Perhaps you could go step by step what you are doing and it would be easier to spot where something is going wrong.

It's been doing it since I loaded it (elements). I used photodelux to save in a lossless format, and then it kept the same colors when I put it in elements. If I don't do it that way, the colors change when I save it :-/ But there should be a way to fix it! |

Logan, if you reopen the saved pictures in Elements do they look the right color? If they only look a different color when viewed in Windows Picture Viewer, it might be a montitor thing.
I can really see the difference in colors in your pics but have run out of ideas why it might happen. Check to see if your monitor is set to RGB and see if that helps.
I've been trying to find some articles on the internet that might help you. Here's a link with lots of different color management articles:

If I find out anything else, I'll be sure to let you know. |

Go to Edit->Color Management and see what option is selected. If it's anything but "No color management", then Elements is applying a color profile which would explain the difference from the Windows viewer. Set that option to fix the problem. |
