Well, I took everyone's advice on the cameras, and went searching.
Out of the 3 cameras that were recommended, I could only find one, the Canon S1 IS.. which I was about *this* close to buying. (It was $699.98 cdn).

However, as I was about to buy it, I noticed another camera.. the Fujifilm Finepix S7000 for only $100 more. Well, I looked at this camera and kind of fell in love with it. It has a better resolution, a slightly lower zoom (but no stabilization like the Canon), and a heck of a lot of features. The thing that I really liked about it was the Continuous shooting, and the Super CCD sensor.

I'm pretty darned ecstatic about this purchase, and I hope to start getting a lot of shots in with it pretty soon..
Suffice it to say, the manual is going to be my friend tonight!

Yay!

Yeeha Kylie! Man, I've been messing around with this camera so far (haven't really taken any photos of note yet, just messing with settings.) and I'm *so* pleased with it. It's got pretty much everything one could ask for in a camera that isn't an SLR.

I'm sooo looking forward to going out and getting some shots for "Tourist Trap".. errrr. I mean, "Travel Guides"

Guess that's the disadvantage of having a roomate with too much time on his hands... LOL
