Yanik,
Beautiful shot. You really captured the peace and tranquility of the lake. The symmetry really works for this shot. Good job!

I really like this shot. Try lightening it just a bit so that the boat has a little more color. I bet it will be even better.

Yanik, I love this, what was the exposure time? It looks long, like the clouds actually moved during the exposure; is this just an illusion?
I agree with the idea of brightening just a hair to bring up the reds in the canoe. Shadow/highlight in PS CS works wonders on this one. Much more difficult with curves/levels, at least without a selection.

Awesome job! I agree that bringing out the reds in the canoe will make this image pop. I'll bet you'll sell tons of prints if you make it available - the shot has that elusive emotional quality that makes images a success.
Thanks for sharing!

Very nice indeed...captures that emotion of stillness, quiteness, and peacefulness that what we look for while out in a boat on a lake such as this. Hey, I have to agree about uping just the red color a bit...Sujestion, use your "destat/Saturation sliders" in Photoshop if you have PS...Wonderful capture!

Thanks for all your nice comments! got back last nite so couldn't reply b4. I'll try adding a touch more red to the canoe and see what it looks like.

Fritz, it wasn't a long exposure maybe 1/100 at around f7. I never keep my original once they've been post processed to my liking so I don'y have the exact specs, sorry. :-)
