I think you chose the entry that *I* like most, although I do like 1 and 3 of those as well. :)

i love the 5th one (second one on the bottom row)... That would be my favorite but I think you choose the correct one for the vast majority of DPCers

I think your actual submission was far and away the best of the bunch. Real first-class work Heida.

I love the contrast in texture with the backgrounds and the model..unfortunately, to me it seems like the model herself is a bit 'too stiffly posed' in the photos except perhaps the last one to a certain degree.

For me, with such naturalistic backdrops it would have been more effective for the model to be more naturally open/relaxed--for example the 2 poses of the model seated reclining backwards appear natural enough except the stiffnes/rigidity of her head and eyes, to me anyways, detracts from the flow of the overall photo.

blah-blah-blah..anyhow congrats on the ribbon!!! :)

You made the right choice with the one you submitted. The expression on her face is just so beautiful and unique.

527 is the most appealling. It seems the most visceral and least of artifice. Something about it seems warm and real world, while the others are clinical and cold.

I definately like the first one the best out of your outtakes, and I think I like it better than your submission too. I like the fact that you can see the background better. It gives the shot some context :)

7081 is a close 2nd to your entry. The lighting position enhances shadows on the stomach; it shows the weight women bear during childbirth. THis is done while keeping the physical beauty of the model intact.

Wow, those are all sensational!

I took a heap of a close friend who is due in 3 weeks. I was pleased with the results overall, as was she, but none of them come close to the quality of these ones.

I can never get that lovely lighting you have there, not even close.
