| I'm confused so a little help would be great. I want to buy the wide angle lens and a filter kit for my coolpix 4500. The filters are 28mm so my question is, can they be used with the wide angle lens or is there another set I would have to buy? |

| Maybe I should be more clear why I'm confused. The lens would connect right to the camera and I'm guessing the filters would too. If that's the case the filters would be too small to fit over the wide angle lens. I can't find any other size filters though for this camera. So, I'm wondering how this works - would I not be able to use the filters with the lens attached or can only use the filters with the lens attached? If anybody has an idea please let me know. I feel weird spending that much money without knowing the answer. |

I'm not familiar with this particular camera - if possible I'd go to a camera shop so you can see what all the pieces are and how they could fit together.
If everything screws together, then it might all work out okay - that is, you would put the 28mm filters on the end of the camera lens, then screw the wide angle adapter to the filter. Some filters, however, are not double-sided. That's why I'd want to see all the pieces, or at least talk to somebody who was actually looking at it to make sure they will all fit. |

You may consider step-up or step-down rings, too.

| Thanks guys. I haven't found a store near me that has this equipment in stock but I'm guessing step-up rings would be necessary because I don't think the filters are double sided. Thanks again. |
