I just bought the Canon 28-135 USM IS. It's amazing!!!
I now have no use for the other so I want to sell my 28-105, but I'm not sure how to go about it. They were not offering me anything interresting at the store as a trade in, so I thought I would go about it myself.
I've never sold anything on ebay. How does one go about doing it? I've heard that sellers with no feedback are avoided like the plague.
Are there other avenues open for selling a lens. It's in mint condition and comes with a filter and lens hood. All in the original packaging. What's the going rate for this lens, slightly used (about 4 months)? Keep in mind that I'm in Canada, so the lens was bought at canadian pricing.
Any help would be great. Thanks.

Try and look for a service similar to this one in Australia:
//www.buy-n-shoot.com
I sold my Sigma 12-24 quite easily using that. It only cost me AUD$10 to post the ad for a whole year, and sold it in a couple of months. Not fast sales, but fast enough for me.

The lens was bought in April 2004, brand new. It is actually a 28-105 f/3.5-4.5 II USM.
As I said, I will include the Canon EW-63II lens hood and UV filter. The lens is perfect and I still have the box, papers and warranty registration card.
B&H lists it for 230+22+12= U$264. I'd let it go for U$225.

Well I sold my lens today. My boss decided to buy a Drebel, and asked my opinion as whether or not he should get the kit lens. He only wanted one lens, so I asked him what he prefered, wide angle or a little more zoom, he said zoom.
That's when I put on my salesman face. He bought it for the same price I paid for it (Can$300), and I threw in the filter and lens hood.
Not bad.
