2.2GB Plus high-capacity, high-performance 1" hard disk drive.
Ultra compact and lightweight (only 16 grams).
Capacity 2,200 MB, Heads 2, Disk 1
Sectors 512 , Interface CF+ Type II (MicroDrive) , Rotational Speed 4,200
Media Transfer Rate 52.4-99.6 Mbits/sec, Transfer Rate 3.3-6.5 Mbytes/sec

Looks like a top notch deal, but does anyone have personal experience?

There's also a very cheap 4 GB one there:

But it appears to be a bit slower.

I just finished reading an article in some mag on how people are buying creative labs muvo 2 mp3 player for £150 and gutting them for the 4gb microdrive inside //www.techdeals.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=5562

The microdrives in things like the Creative Muvo2 are no longer useable in CF devices, like digital cameras.

See this link for more info

The drives in the iPod Mini never worked in digital cameras, and Creative has since switched to that model microdrive because of rampant raping of their MP3 players for drives.

Thanks Eddy, saved me wasting my pennies on an mp3 player I don,t need.
Have to see if I can get my hands on an old one

I bought one of the older Muvo's with a 1st generation Hitachi 4 gb microdrive 2 months ago. Worked great. Unofortunately, it stopped working for me a couple of days ago. I don't recall dropping it or doing anything bad to it except transfer it from the 10D to the CF reader and back. Supposedly, microdrives in general are very fragile. Be gentle when using one and don't use it to store valuable pictures without backing them up.
