Not literaly of course, the jpeg sort! I read a thread on this a whiles back and the answer seemed to be clear out the cache and reload. It doesn't work for me and I have several images throughout this site that do not show the thumbs but I can click on the link to see the full pic.
Any ideas peeps?

Thanks for the nudge - I forgot to reply what the fix was.
In my case, some thummbs would show up, others wouldn't
on the PC at home. I traced it down to the Norton Internet
Security program. Had to make a few adjustments and put
dpc in the allowed sections.
Software firewalls, popup blockers can have the same effect.

what exactly did you change Brad? I allowed dpc in a couple of places, cleared my cache down but still have missing thumbs.

I was checking & unchecking so many advanced options in the browser, trying everything.
Are you using IE or Mozilla (I hope)?
I had the problem in both browsers, finally leading me to it being
a popup blocker or Norton Internet Security. Itried fussing with
Norton to no avail, finally turned it off and problems went the
way of the Dodo bird...
I had posted this same question a while ago, but can't find it.

Have just gone back to *cough* IE & Outlook Express, tried many alternatives but I hate to say it am happier with what I know (can't wait for SP2).
Going back to the thumbs prob I have Norton, I allowed dpc popups and can now see the missing thumbs, this is worrying as many of the images were mine and (to the best of my knowledge) there is no 'extra code' embedded in them. Why are some thumbs blocked and others not???

As one of the SC members mentioned (GeneralE?), it
has to do with an image fitting a certain criteria known for
being a popup, like dimension and file size.

I have this same problem. I have Norton, but never mess with it. Where do you go to tell Norton to allow dpc popups? |

ah, I see. Maybe I should turn the popup off again and go see what the thumb sizes are? Sounds like a pretty good reason though, glad I reminded you Brad ;)

A lot of these type of programs attempt to block ads by looking at the dimensions of an image. If your thumbnail happened to be automatically calculated (based on the size of your uploaded file) to be one of these "blacklisted" dimensions, it will be blocked.
You just need to figure out how to put www.dpchallange.com and images.dpchallenge.com on your "whitelist" or "permitted sites" list. |

Hey thanks, guys. I had long ago given up on ever seeing a full page of thumbs at DPC or DPCPrints -- there were always some missing, especially mine at DPCPrints. I just spent an hour or so finagling Norton Anti-Spam ad blocker, and now both sites work as they were supposed to. I never thought I would see the day!
