I wonder if you might share your lighting technique as well as your post-processing steps regarding your beautiful image? I'm posting here as opposed to PMing you as I think many folks would love the opportunity to learn from you.

Thanks for that request, I'd love to know as well. From the looks of it there's probably a tungsten light from below and some other source .. not sure .. anyway I loved your shot. Awesome work :)

Looks like a light box or sheet of glass with a lamp underneath. The simplicity and clarity of the shot made that image a winner.

Ok i updated the image note about the lighting setup!


As many have guessed its lighted from underneath the glass, but there is an additional homemade snoot projected onto the leaves.

p.s. Dumb question... You said you processed using C1... uh... what is C1?

C1 is a RAW workflow software made by Phase One that lets you process your RAW images. You have full control over White balance, exposure, sharpening, saturation etc. I prefer this software to the Photoshop CS RAW converter.
