Does that mean you'll have a 10D up for sale, Jacko? I know a fellow canuck who could use a digital SLR!

Probably later, once I get the 20D.

It's really too bad they don't do something about this. Does the MkII handle this situation any better?

Yup..it resumes writing once the door is closed again.

Just don't open the door until it is finished writing. :o\

Thanks Gordon! I found on my grip for my DR where you store the original battery compartment door. That's awesome!!! The smallest things really make me happy (glad that's also true for my wife. LOL!!!). I had my original battery door taped to the inside of my camera bag so I would be sure not to loose it. No it's impossible for me to loose it unless I loose the whole camera. It wouldn't do me any good then anyway. :o(

I pre-ordered the 20D at Ritz this morning. :o)
