I had a question about open challenge layers. If I was to have two layerse, where one is partly transparent, is that OK? The non-transparent layer wouldn't be against the rules at all, no spot editing or anything. Thanks :)

The only layers you can use in open editing challenges is adjustment layers and that also means not using the blending options. You cannot duplicate a layer and change the opacity of the layer.
