The new camera by canon is coming out soon. I was wondering if anyone will be upgrading, and willing to sell there canon eos 10d. If so please let me know.
Thanks,

Hehehehe...I was thinking just the same thing yesterday
when I saw a few of our members stating they were upgrading.
A quick check of the pockets...empty as usual.

Well, the 10d is still a great camera for me at the moment. I am working on getting some L-glass and then either waiting until the 20d replacement or buying a mark II when I win the lotto (wishful thinking eh?). My 10d is about a 5 months old, great shape, I would probably let mine go for $1400. =)
I do believe they are getting a lot cheaper now, ECost.com was offering em for $1,288.00 last time I checked.

Im thinking about selling mine when the 20D is finally out, but I need to see the in-depth reviews first when someone gets their hands on a production model! |

You can have my F300 for $300 with the memory. Is like 10D only 290 and 2 letters better ;-) |

Yeah: and you can have my Minolta Dimage 7 hi for a real deal. Real pro feautures for a fraction...but truthfully, the 10D will spoil you. |

I'm thinking about it, based on where I am.
In Australia the 10D is a lot more expensive than in the US, so I bought mine on a trip to NY exactly a year ago (Well, ok, exactly a year ago is tomorrow).
I am thinking of selling mine, with battery grip, here, at Australian prices, and then order a 20D from the US. I think I will be able to pretty much break even, or at least be close enough to make it very worth while.
The risk for me is that I would sell the 10D in the near future, before the 20D word gets out too much, and have to wait months for the 20D if it is out of stock, as I can't afford to buy it before selling the 10D.

won't it be obvious it's a US model?

I've already pre-ordered a 20D from a Canadian site. I'll likely sell my 10D on Ebay after I've made sure the 20D I got is good.

I'd sell mine for $1400, free shipping in the US. You could probably find it cheaper though... If I sold it, I'd put my order in for the 20D right away, so it wouldn't bother me to sell this one...

It is exactly the same model, literally no difference at all. Impossible to tell where it was purchased, and doesn;t actually matter at all anyway as it is just out of warranty now anyway.

I am really considering selling my 10d to upgrade... what are you all willing to pay for it? It's in good condition, just bought in January! I treat it like gold!
Let us all know so we can see if something's worth while...

Well, if anyone's interested, I'm might be selling my Digital Rebel to upgrade to the 20D when it comes out and I see how people like it.

Can buy a 10D with 2GB microdrive at B&H for $1469...what's the incentive to part with $1400 for a body? This is brand new with warranty! |

Yup, price for a new one down to 1275 instead of the 1500 they asked a few weeks ago. I am probably getting a 20D either soon or after the christmass frenzy (depends on what I need to shoot the next months) but if I were in the market for a secondhand 10D today I'd be willing to pay between 900 and 1000. I bet some people will pay more.

Is there, or should there be a 'sales' section to these forums for the users? A place to buy/sell used equipement? I'm just wondering... |

A sales section sounds good. Yeah, it's hard to let go of my brand new canon 10 for under $1250. It's only a few months old and in great condition! It's still under warranty :) But I can't offer extra cards or anything because I need those if I am getting the 20d. But it looks like i won't be able to afford the 20d if i can't sell my 10d for near new pricing.. oh well :(
A buy/sell place here would be a good idea RedOak!

Okay, start your bidding. I REALLY want a 20D. So, how much will you or your friends pay for my 10D? Anyone, anyone???

Okay everybody: CALM DOWN!
Is the 20D REALLY that much better? Are you going to benefit greatly from this 20D? Is your photography going to improve?
I just can't see all that many improvements over the 10D to warrant high-speed upgrading, (That I've seen). DPReview doesn't even have a review of a production model!
EDIT:
ok, this is what i like about it:
higher built-in flash position. (yes i take happy snaps, it looks useful.)
8mp sensor.
e-ttl 2
don't like:
still 1.6x crop.
