i tried to email a picture to some friends and usually when i click on the picture to send to mail recipient there is a window that pops up to resize it to email...well it doesn't do that anymore?
what gives??
can anyone help me??

Sounds like you are talking about sending a picture from your Internet Explorer browser? If that is the case, perhaps your "Image Toolbar" is turned off.
On the menu, under "Tools" choose "Internet Options". Click on the "Advanced" tab. Scroll down, about halfway there is a section titled "Multimedia". The second option is the "Image Toolbar" - make sure there is a check mark in the box next to it. |

nope...i'm fine there. okay i have a folder named pics on my desktop, i want to send a picture from there. the pic is 1.5mb
i used to right click the picture and go to send to-->mail recipient. when i did that a window popped up saying "would you like to resize your picture or keep orginal size." windows XP would resize it smaller suitable for email.
now..it doesn't.
if anyone can help please...these pics i'm trying to send are kind of proofs. |

If they are proofs then don't rely on WinXP to resize them with any quality retained!
Use //www.irfanview.com/ instead, with the "Lancsoz" resampling filter. |

wimbello..thanks..i'l check into that.. but.....:) what ever happened to the window that would pop up?? i would still like to have that option
again....
its easier for myself(and wife to send a smaller pics right away than to photoshop resize it...
