Found this picture a couple of weeks ago and I'm amazed it has only been selected twice as a favorite photo. It is truly a hidden gem...
Just thought some of you wuld like to see it...

That IS nice. I love the silhouettes of the kids. Im not so keen on the sky, believe it or not. I wonder if I'd actually prefer a close crop of the kids in a portrait format.
Thanks for showing it to me!

That IS beautiful (good work, Skip). If you want to find more of these sleeper hits, try browsing through the favorites of another photographer you respect. You'll often find some great shots that didn't get the attention that a ribbon-winner would. Each of these have only been selected as favorites by three people:

i like the whole shot as it is. The children's movement in the shot really make me feel like dancing next time the sun rises or sets.

i like the whole image better, the yellow sun between the red clouds is too good to be cropped out :-)

Yeah I like it better. I expect I'll be in the minority as the other makes good use of negative space, rule of thirds etc. But I just love the exhuberant shapes of those kids and like the way the close crop gives them more prominence.

I do that a lot! I don't think I count as a photographer people respect but I think I have some great images in my own Favourites selection!
