It was a tough call when I was choosing between the two shots. I actually prefer the b/w conversion more than the color, but I felt the color would please the voters more. Don't get me wrong, I like them both enough to submit, just personal preference is for the b/w version.

Good choice. The black and white is a great shot also but the color brings out so much more in it. B/W is certaily more subtle and soothing but just does not have the WOW factor for me. Great job! |

Hey Eddy,
I think the difference in this entry and my recent low scoring ones, is this shot was taken for me. I think I lost sight as to why I enjoy photography. It's not about taking a photo to please the voters here on DPC, it's to take an image that means something to me. There's more to shooting than DPC, and as a result, I still don't see myself entering every challenge like I use to. I will wait until there is one that inspires me.
