Hi all,

I've just got a Panasonic FZ2 and am about to buy a SD for it, I like the idea of having an original Panasonic card but not sure if they are worth paying the extra (in some cases double).

As I understand it, the Panasonic cards are known for being faster and more reliable, is this marketing or reality? (if real then is it such a big difference?)

So should I go for Panasonic branded or save some money?

Thanks in advance

Darren

okies, I guess that people dunno either.

I've gone for a 128mb Kingston SD card as it was a third of the price of a Panasonic card, I'm planning to get a Panasonic card in a few weeks - I'll post the results of the comparison on here :)

This link should help... it's from a forum that discusses Panasonic cameras: //www.stevesforums.com/forums/view_topic.php?id=31466&forum_id=23

Here in the USA the various brands of SD cards are all about the same price in our huge chain store "Wal-Mart". I have used Fuji and Panasonic brands and they both work the same in my Panasonic FZ10 in the 128 mg. size card. I have two 256mg Panasonic cards that said they were "faster" when I bought them and they do record images faster than my 128mg cards. However, as I said, on my 128mg cards the brand doesn't seem to make a difference - the Fuji and Panasonic cards work exactly the same.
