I have been really working on my PS skills. I would appreciate your thoughts or these.
Most of the techniques are from "Down and Dirty Tricks"

I like the bee-balm best of all (so did my wife). At first glance it almost looks like a Chihuley glass sculpture. Nice work. |

great shots! How'd ya do 'em? Any tips or steps you could offer up?

The puzzles are easy, but take alot of steps. The more pieces- the more steps. Also, there is no way the do w/in the editing guidelines.
Basically you use the shape tool. Creating 1 layer for each piece. Then open your photo and apply "Bevel and Emboss" Then you apply the same to each puzzle piece, then trash the photo.
The Bee balm was done within basic editing rules. I shot in RAW format w/ a plain, light colored, background, Then using the Levels tool, I removed the background. I selected the darkest part of the background and set it as white, with the eye droper. Thus removing it and creating more highlights. |

nice. I'd like to try out the puzzle one. I really like it. I, too, am trying to learn more about ps. Learned some really cool things & now I've plateaued out on my skills. need to add some new tricks.
