I've been spending the last two days processing and loading for sale a series of images taken last May during the DPC GTG in London.
I think I'm either misremembering or we wrongly identified it at the time (more likely to be the former) but I had thought the sailing ship we viewed was The Golden Hind: Sir Francis Drake's ship.
But when I pulled up a website about the ship (to help me fill in the description) I saw a ship that doesn't look like this one and one moored in Devon not London.
So the question is - which ship is this?
Your help is very welcome.
I just wish I'd had an inkling I was making a mistake before I spent the time adding the text etc. It certainly makes me glad I save the PSD file as well as the jpegs as it will be that little bit quicker for me to correct this!
THANKS
PS If anyone would like to make any comments on my new prints, I'd be grateful for your feedback! See link below.

It indeed is the "Golden Hinde" and it is located in Londen. The paint scheme is right and so is the design.

No doubt there are more 'replica's' than one. It was very common in those days that ships were built not with blueprints but purely from the memory and experience from a master-shipbuilder.

THANKS!!!
Bollox, look like I have spelt it wrong anyway so will have to edit text after all!
I looked it up and found //www.goldenhind.co.uk which also refers to Sir Francis Drake. And the pictures of that ship don't match the ones of mine (which is the one you linked me to).
Wondering now whether Hind or Hinde is correct and whether the replicas bear any resemblance to the original other than their paint colour scheme!!!

Spellink was notorioussly vagge back in days of yore; fr exampel I think there's numerous documented "authentic" versions of Willm Shakspere ...
I think we have a replica of the Hinde here in California as well.

General I know, but I figure my spelling should match the one being used by the creators of the particular replica I photographed!
SIGH!
I'll fix it tomorrow!
:P
