Yesterday, I decided to start a blog. Today, I actually started one. I've got a lot of details to work out still, because I'm trying to make it, well, free to operate, while still not having banner ads, etc.

It's not really photography related, though I suspect I will have lots of photography links and posts as it gets going. I also tried to use the most basic, simple template I could.

Check it out!

Being an "old hand" at Blogs (I've re-invented my personal blog site 3 times over the last 3 years, and got a Domain name just last year), I just want to welcome you to the world of Web Logs. And, of course, I invite you to visit my site, DigiSection.com and link to me if you'd like.

Will your blog be mostly personal info? Or just links? Or perhaps News and personal commentary? My blog tends to be mostly personal, with some Links and personal rants about specific News Articles. I have a separate section of the site for pictures, but currently I have no Photographs there, just screenshots of characters from the City of Heroes computer game. I'll update things when my home computer stops crashing, and I have time.

I'll put a link to your blog in mine, and I wish you luck. Have fun blogging!

Thanks!

My blog is going to be mostly links and news stuff, with personal commentary. I'll do editorial pieces from time to time as well, I'm sure. I don't plan on making it a "I went to the store, then came home, then watched TV, then made a phone call, then..." type of blog. I don't find those very interesting to read, and I suspect I wouldn't find it very interesting to write, either.

I swear this a sign from higher up to update my poor neglected blog. I had an online blog for 4 years that I wrote in almost daily, then I took my writing off line for a year, and just recently restarted a blog. However, in my quest to buy a house and with my new job I have completely ignored it for a month now. I do however read a lot of blogs daily, so I will check out both of yours.

You'd be surprised, Steve, at how enjoyable a highly personal Blog could be. No, I don't update daily, THAT would be a drag. But when something significant happens (I run across a really good or really bad news article, my new computer starts acting up, someone brings up the topic of AOL, etc) it's nice to be able to type out your feelings, happy, sad, angry, sarcastic, and all the others, and put it somewhere you can tell your friends to visit. Some people say I'm funny, some worry I'm insane.

The first incarnation of my blog was called Tucker's Truth, and it served as a dumping ground of my most vicious vitriol. After a few months, the posts slowed down and became a lot shorter. I'd found that I wasn't so angry about certain things anymore, because I'd gotten them off my chest in a way that didn't force my anger on anyone or single out anyone. And because I told friends and people I worked with to visit, I learned how to write in a way so as to avoid anyone figuring out if I was angry with any one person or not. I learned to write about a topic, instead of about a person or a specific incident. I don't always write in that way now, but I also learned not to be ashamed of my opinions. I'm more frank and earnest in my blog than I tend to be in real life, but I'm also not naming people specifically.

But of course, Steve, you can do whatever kind of Blog tickles your fancy. Just put a disclaimer on the link to mine that it is personal, and can occasionally get downright angry, But mostly in a funny way.

And as for you, BeingClever, Hope you enjoy what you see. I blog randomly, but I try to keep it interesting. I call it a Digital Dissection of my life.

Whoah, I didn't notice that. I went in and changed a setting, so now everyone should be able to leave comments. Someone go in and leave a comment to test this! I didn't even know I had that option. Comments for everyone!

Goodie! Now you can tell me if the Comment messages get saved on your site or somewhere on blogspot.com. I left comments off of my blog, because I only have 10 megs to work with, and pics, Fiction,a sub-web dedicated to my City of Heroes Character , and my own input has already eaten almost half of that.

DPC got blogged! (by me...)

Wow, 65 hits today so far on the grand opening of my blog. Thanks! I even got one comment.

Check it out again!

Or, this is a bump for the afternoon crowd. Whichever.

Things are really taking off over at the Faux Pax blog. I've gotten over 100 hits in the first 3 days (and they weren't all me), and I'm posting several items a day. You all might enjoy it!

Yeah, the server has been hiccupping periodically for a couple of days. One good thing, though, is that the locked thing only happens some of the time now, where a couple of days ago, it happened all of the time. I hope they are getting it fixed. Try it again!
