| While scrolling through my "Recieved Comments" I noticed that Justine and Imagineer have been quite active with my shots, as well as with others. Just look at the number of comments Justine has made and that'll tell you something. And Imagineer has taken the time to comment on a few of my non-challenge shots as well. I love when people take the time to look through a portfolio and comment on something that strikes them. Unsolicited comments are the BEST!!! They're like an extra little prize in the Cracker Jack box that you just weren't expecting. So Hats off to all who take the time to do this. And a special thanks to Justine and Imagineer. :-) |

Well I hate to be repetitive and too reciprocal but both you guys Kylie & Jenesis are always fulsome and forthcoming with your comments - and thanks for your most recent ones. Of course there's trusty, poetic Zeus, but Spanish Grease, JPR, Geewhy, e301, Melismatica, jpochard - among many others - are always very considered with their opinions. Time and thoughtfulness with comments are what makes this site so great.
One of my favourite comments has to be 'NO, NO, NO.' - I can't remember who by though... : )

I haven't seen to many of his individual photo comments, but for an overall approach to evaluating photos and the photographer I really like dsidwell's work -- his now-rare photographer reviews were great.

Unsolicited! That's the word I was looking for when I made this nomination, "I nominate Kylie for a special award for taking the time and showing the interest to browse member portfolios and comment on non-challenge photos without being asked to". |

| So many great people on here, It's hard to pick. So far, I'd say Kylie for sure, followed by Graphicfunk and Imagineer. |

Who said anything about deleted comments?
{sorry to all for be-laboring this but I truly did not say anything about deleted comments in this thread and do not deserve the above comment. If others can make posts jabbing at me, why can't I do the same? Please reply to me in PM if you must so we don't mess up this thread anymore then I already have. Again, sorry to all}

Thanks - but you just had great stuff, I just had to comment! I can't always do it, but I am trying to 1) comment a lot, even if not always well, and 2) give significantly higher scores when I can.

Thanks Gary! I really enjoy commenting but I know most of my comments are shorter and not as insightful as many by some of those nominated here. Thanks though! Still I do really enjoy looking at images and sharing my thoughts about them.

I would honestly second that. The comments she leaves are very nice, detailed and insightful.

::ponders what to say::
This must be one of the few times I can be found without much comment.
Many of you on this site (and others I frequent) are more artistically gifted or work harder at producing compelling and/or aesthecially pleasing work. I'm verbose and, hopefully, understandable in my evaluations. I try to balance some quick comments with some in-depth evaluations of the works that I see here. Sometimes I worry that my comments may destruct other's work down past the point where it can just be enjoyed for the expression it was/is to the artist. I hope that if I previously commented or comment in the future on your work it comes across as one who is trying to just give you a different view of your work. It in no ways means that I don't respect what you've done; its just my opinion. My hope is that the attention encourages you to keep on producing whatever kind of work you like to shoot whether its your bread-n-butter shot or if you're just getting into a particular type of photography.
As one of the nominated, the nominations mean a lot.
Thanks,
Kev

I think you can rest assured that you are most appreciated! Isn't this a great place to be, especially when we are helping each other in positive ways?

Hi Kev,
Just wanted you to know that your comments are excellent, and very, very helpful. I have never figured out how to reciprocate. Take care,
