During the reception, use a wide angle lens and lay on the ground while people dance over you!...or not ;)

never done it but I'd imagine you'd mostly want to use your fastest lenses as lighting might not be great. Especially if it's indoors. |

I have shot quite a few, and it seems that the best shots are fun and spontaneous. I have an assitant, so we cover twice as much, but just have fun and it will show in your pics if you are technically sound with your camera. I find different angles every time I shoot one. What lenses and flash do ya have for your rbel?

Not too many guys could get away with that.
CD- use an external flash and point it at the ceiling when possible, use a fast lens and no flash/higher ISO when it's not possible. You've already got composition and style covered. ;-) |

Use the 50. You'll need even wider for group shots. |

I agreee!! I just saw some of your samples and they are nice. I have basically 2 lenses....24-70 2.8, and 70-200 2.8. They work well for different situations. Shoot close ups of hands and feet and bridal vails if she has one. hand holding close ups work well. I wish ya the best...I have done about 100 and I still get stressed out, but I am the primary photographer. I have had some luck so far, and I always learn something new!

ive learned that shooting in the dark can be hard focusing with these automatic cameras and lots of action happening all around. Make sure that little auto illumination option is on...or else...you could miss grandma with her red boa doing the soul train. :)

Great tip girl! And a cute pic! I have some hilarious outtakes that I need to find and display! After retouching a wedding though....I really never want to see them again! Too much photoshop time!

You had better get something! People think that the computer time doesnt add up to anything????? Till they sit and re-touch pics for 8 hours! Tell them to try it!

They really are a lot of work.

my nude today...she paid me! HA! I almost felt guilty because she was so beautiful. Im listed on glamourmodels.com...and my website has a couple of nude pages...so people actually contact me for nude work... Beleive it or not! I love it. Today I recieved an email from a man wanting nudes to submit to playgirl...LOL. That should be fun. ;)
