I agree. It is very depressing. I'm not scoring high at all and I'm not getting any comments so I don't know why. I had a few entry choices and obviously I chose the wrong one. |

One of the tricks to dealing with this place, is that whist it is intended as a learning experience, it isn't actually intended, nor is it, a teaching experience. It is rare that you will find a comment that actually helps you learn anything about what you're doing - that is more easily done by a careful consideration of your scores, and your own thoughts, and an examination of other successful shots. You'll still learn, but you'll have to teach yourself. That, at least, is how I've found it to be.

| Hmmmm. I've only been a member for a few challenges. 2 were in the low 5's and one got hammered because they said it didn't meet the challenge. When I turned on my computer this morning, I was at 5.8+ so I was hopeful and encouraged that I'm making progress. . . but now it's dropped to 5.5 :( Ohy well. . .If I keep trying and practicing, surely at some point I'll break average, you think ????? |

| 107 votes, 4.0 better than my first entry did (rusted), so far. I have good ideas for the challenges, just haven't got the camera to 'see' it like I do. |

Well, have gone from 4.8 (30 votes)up to 5.2 (80 votes) and now trying to hold on to a 5 so I guess I won't be seeing an 'average' bell range on my submission? I guess I overdid what I thought was a good idea. Nomatter, only a couple of days for my pc upgrade and a couple of weeks (hopefully) till I get a new monitor :)

ah, you missed the small print, you have to give a fiver to the recipient of all commented 10's that don't belong to me :) if you want a clue there are parallel lines in my shot (that should narrow it down a bit for you).
